Launch of the Conflict Toolkit

As you may have heard, Human Resources has been leading a project to assess UVic’s approach to workplace conflict and has partnered with colleagues across campus to design solutions to help all employees address conflict in healthy ways. We know that conflict is a fact of life, and the strategic goals set out in our various university plans are going to require us to dialogue respectfully across difference. We want to ensure our workplace is equipped to deal with conflict effectively and are pleased to announce the launch of customized resources for both individuals and leaders.

The Conflict toolkit is now available at uvic.ca/conflict and includes the principles and process that guide good conflict resolution as well as self-serve videos and worksheets for both individual employees and the leaders who support them.

The Conflict Fluency Learning Series has been added to HR’s learning series and identifies courses across the employee learning program for both individuals and leaders which are most likely to improve conflict skills. Enrol to view the series without commitment or view individual courses and register through learning central when filtering by the topic “conflict fluency learning series.”

We invite you to learn more about the Conflict Project, including a live tutorial of the Conflict Toolkit and Learning Series, as well as ideas for how to apply UVic’s new approach to conflict to your work, at an upcoming information session. Register through learning central by searching “Conflict Project Info Session”
